Who we are
This website, richardpwolf.com, is published by Richard P. Wolf and the Common Ground Project, United States. Questions about this policy or your data: privacy@richardpwolf.com.
What we collect, and why
Newsletter and launch list. If you sign up, we collect your email address (and your first name, if you give it). We use it to send launch announcements, cover reveals, research notes, and project updates. Sign-up forms and email delivery are handled by Brevo (brevo.com), which stores your details on our behalf. Every email has an unsubscribe link; you can also write to privacy@richardpwolf.com and we will remove you.
Circle membership. If you contact us to join the Financial or Voice Circle, we collect what you send by email (for example, proof of purchase, your chosen acknowledgment name, and your visibility choice). We use it only to run the Circle and to acknowledge you the way you choose. Financial contributions are processed by a third-party payment service (such as Ko-fi), which handles your payment details under its own terms; we do not receive or store your card numbers.
Messages you send us. If you email us or use a site form, we keep your message and address so we can reply.
Comments and reviews. Where comments are enabled and you leave one, we collect the name, email, and website you enter, plus your IP address and browser details for spam detection. Comments are held for approval before they appear. A hashed version of your email may be sent to Gravatar to see whether you have a profile picture.
Site statistics and analytics. We use Jetpack and Google Site Kit (Google Analytics) to understand which pages are read and how people find the site. These tools may set cookies and receive your IP address, device and browser information, and pages visited. Where required, they run only after you consent through the cookie banner.
Security and backups. Security tools record login attempts and IP addresses to block abuse. Site backups may contain the data described here.
Cookies
We use a cookie banner that lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working and secure. Analytics, sharing, and “like” features may set additional cookies if you allow them. You can change your choice through the cookie banner or your browser settings.
Embedded content and links
Pages may embed or link to other services (for example YouTube videos or podcast reviews, social networks, or Ko-fi). Those services may collect data about you under their own privacy policies.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help run the site, under their own privacy terms: Brevo (email), Google (analytics), Automattic/Jetpack and Gravatar (statistics, likes, sharing, avatars), our web host, and the email-delivery and automation tools used to send and route messages. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Email list data: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Circle records: while you remain a member and as needed for acknowledgments in published books, as you directed. Comments: until deleted. Analytics: according to the provider’s retention settings.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Email privacy@richardpwolf.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK, or certain U.S. states), you may have additional rights under local law, and we will honor valid requests.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We will post updates on this page and change the date above.
